Meet Demetrielle
I am extremely eager to engage and educate students by sharing innovative strategies with teachers! As a Ph.D. candidate, I have researched Culturally Responsive Teaching practices over the last few years. Although there is information on Culturally Responsive Teaching, very little is known about applying the theory. Based on my findings and a decade of experience in the classroom, I have discovered specific Culturally Responsive Teaching strategies that will immerse the interests of and meet the needs of our diverse students.
My goal is to make great teachers better. Teachers will learn how to connect with their students and relay content in a culturally responsive teaching manner. I will demonstrate strategies and showcase resources that could be immediately implemented to transform the classroom of any new, veteran, low-performing, or distinguished teacher.
